Why we exist

Towns don't lose their physio because the need goes away.

They lose it because the clinic couldn't make the numbers work.

Clinicians burn out covering too much. Owners run out of runway. And a town that had a physio ends up driving hours to see one.

We think that's a business problem, so we're solving it like one.

Our mission, part one

Sustainable allied health for regional and rural communities.

Good care, close to home, that's still there in ten years.

Our mission, part two

Sustainable, profitable businesses for the people who serve them.

Clinics that pay their way, so the clinicians and local owners behind them can keep going.

How we do it

Local clinics, one shared back end.

Fit 2 Function is a physio-led allied health business with clinics in Tamworth and Manilla, plus a reformer Pilates studio in Tamworth and an on-demand studio in Manilla. We look after people through every stage of life, from sports injuries to pregnancy to menopause. Three new physios start in February, and our next sites are already in planning.

Our plan is ten clinics across regional NSW and Queensland by 2036. Each one is built to stand on its own as a local practice, with strong local leadership and a real community face. We make sure the business underneath them works.

The town

People who need care close to home, at every stage of life.

The local clinic

Led locally, with its own team, its own community feel, and its own books that need to stack up.

The shared back end

Payroll, systems, compliance, rosters and the front desk standard, built once and run well for every site.

This is you

Why this role matters

Good care in a regional town only lasts as long as the business behind it.

Accurate pays, full diaries, tight books and systems a new site can pick up on day one are what keep a clinic open in a town that needs it. That's this job.

What the job is

Run operations today, and build the playbook for every clinic after this one.

  • Operations and capacityRosters, clinician diaries and studio timetables across Tamworth and Manilla, so the demand our marketing creates always meets a team we can staff.
  • Payroll and peopleAccurate pays, correct award classifications, contracts, onboarding and staff records. You'll own this from your first month.
  • Leading Client CareLead our front desk and admin team. Coach them, and make sure the first person a client speaks to sorts it out.
  • Money and complianceWe keep our books in house, so you'll run reconciliation, Xero, debtors and month-end, plus billing accuracy, registrations, insurance and WHS.
  • The playbook for every new clinicDocument how we run, build a monthly operations dashboard, and lead the operational setup of each new site so every new clinic is sustainable from the start.
  • A seat at the tableSit on the leadership team with our two directors and our service delivery and marketing leads.

Who this suits

You've grown an operation somewhere that moves fast.

You don't need a health background.

We'd rather hire someone who has run operations in a growing business than someone who has done practice management the same way for twenty years. We'll teach you health billing.

  • You've managed a team and an operation, and can show us what got better because you were there.
  • You've been part of real growth, ideally across more than one site.
  • You know payroll and Australian awards well enough to spot a problem before it becomes back pay.
  • You're personable and you read a room. You consult before you change things, then you make the call.
  • You tell people things directly and kindly, including your boss.
  • You want your work to matter to a town, and you know that means taking the numbers seriously.
  • You want somewhere to stay for the long haul and grow with.
  • Nice to have: allied health or medical practice experience, multi-site experience, Xero, PracSuite or similar.

How we work

Four values we hire for, and live by.

Leave people better than we found them.

Every client, colleague and supplier should come away better off for dealing with us, and so should every town we open in.

Lead from the front.

Be prepared, follow through and own the result, good or bad. Model the standard you expect from your team.

Talk up, not around.

Take concerns and ideas straight to the person who can act on them. We'd much rather hear it from you directly.

Catch it, own it.

If it comes to you, you make sure it gets resolved. Fix it, or hand it to the right person with everything they need. Nothing gets dropped between us.

Where this goes

A ladder, written down.

Regional roles too often come with a vague promise of "room to grow". Ours is published from day one. Each step is earned at a formal review against milestones we agree with you, as the business reaches the milestones that fund it.

Run the back end across Tamworth and Manilla, and lead the Client Care team.

  2. Step 2

  3. Step 3

Living in Tamworth

Big enough, and small enough.

Small enough that the sense of community is strong. Big enough that it offers city opportunities in work, recreation and sport, for the kids and the adults alike. We're surrounded by waterways and natural attractions, so being a tourist in your own backyard is a hoot and easy to get to. There are eateries a plenty and great parklands, and it's a perfect lifestyle for a growing family.

Applications closeSunday 22 November 2026. We're talking to people as applications arrive.

The honest catch

Parts of this are still being built.

If you're not local, this is a move to a regional town. We think that's the point, and we'll help you see it before you decide.

We're also growing quickly, so not everything is worked out yet. If you want a role where it all runs already, this isn't it. If you want to be the person who works it out, and then gets to keep building it for years, we'd love to hear from you.

How to apply

Two short steps, then we'll be in touch.

Applications close Sunday 22 November 2026.

  1. Send us your details

Fill in the short form below. It goes straight to Jess and Mel.

  2. Email your CV and two answers

Send your CV to , with a one-page answer to the two questions alongside.

  3. The two questions

    1. What's the biggest thing you've built or fixed in an operations role? Give us the numbers before and after.

    2. Tell us about a time you told your boss something they didn't want to hear. What happened?
