meet jess - founder of fit 2 function
Hi, I’m Jess - founder of Fit 2 Function, Physiotherapist, mum of three, rural girl at heart, and passionate believer in keeping healthcare personal.
As Fit 2 Function continues to grow across Tamworth, Armidale, and Manilla, I know there are many of you I haven’t yet met in person. While I tend to stay behind the scenes, what drives me every day is seeing our incredible team, clients, and outcomes speak for themselves.
Fit 2 Function was born from a vision to create a space where people felt truly supported - in injury, in health, in life. A place where care feels real, results matter, and the journey back to function is walked side by side with someone who genuinely cares.
When I’m not in the clinic (or sneakily turning up to a Reformer class unannounced), you’ll usually find me in full family mode - school drop-offs, after-school activities, and managing the organised chaos that is mum life. I still run when I can, love a good DIY project, and escape to the farm whenever possible - my rural roots will always be a part of me, and a big reason why community care remains at the heart of this business.
Fit 2 Function is so much more than a clinic. It’s a team of passionate professionals committed to helping people move well, feel well, and live well - no matter what season they’re in.
Built on Purpose, Fueled by Passion
Running a growing business, raising a family, and serving a regional community comes with its fair share of challenges - and at Fit 2 Function, we embrace the juggle with honesty and heart.
Behind the scenes, there’s a team - and a village - that makes it all possible. We believe in playing to our strengths, supporting one another, and showing up fully when it matters most. While no day is ever perfectly polished, what you can always count on from us is this: when we’re with you, we’re all in.
Our founder, Jess, has built Fit 2 Function on the belief that genuine connection, evidence-based care, and a wholehearted approach to people is what truly creates impact. That passion flows through our entire team - from the front desk to the clinic room to the Reformer studio.
We’re here to serve with integrity, purpose, and presence - because we love what we do, and we care deeply about who we do it for.
From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Health Hub
Fit2Function began in 2014 with a clear purpose: to create a space that empowered people to move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
Our first home? The back of the Magpies Rugby Club - a small functional training gym offering two mat Pilates classes a week and physiotherapy one day a week from a tiny consult room. It was a modest start, but the mission was strong, and so was the community support that surrounded it.
In 2017, we relocated to our current space on Marius Street in Tamworth - a move made possible (and quite literally carried out) by the incredible support of our clients, friends, and community. That same year, we expanded our services and introduced Reformer Pilates, which quickly became a core pillar of our integrated approach to health and movement.
