Fit 2 Function Allied HealthÂ
-Â The clinic I wish someone had told me to look for and the reason behind our 'In Your Corner' Initiative
Ten months into my grad physio year, I was earning good money, seeing a great case mix, and completely burnt out. I said yes to everything; Saturday mornings, Sunday admin, as many professional development courses as possible. No boundaries of my own, because nobody ever told me I was allowed to ask for something different. I was trying really hard to be really good - Easy going, top performer, hustle!Â
I built Fit2Function to be the clinic I needed back then. Not a perfect place, a genuinely sustainable one, where asking for support is a giant green flag, not a red one, and where a good career is something we build with you over years, not something you have to grind through and hope you survive.
This page is us being straight about what that actually looks like. Not the highlight reel of bright white smiles - the raw tears and LOLs and usually both together

Why Work With Fit 2 Function?
Supportive, values-led culture
We prioritise respect, collaboration, and sustainable workloads. You won’t be expected to “just cope”, support, mentoring and open communication are part of how we operate.
Evidence-based practice
We combine the latest research with real clinical experience to deliver personalised care, not cookie-cutter treatment.
Our physiotherapists and Pilates instructors work closely together, giving you the support, confidence and clinical reasoning to grow from day one.
Integrated movement model
We’re not just a clinic, we’re also a Reformer Pilates studio and rehabilitation gym. That means real collaboration between physiotherapy and strength-based movement and better outcomes for clients.
Career development & progression
From mentoring, in-house education and generous PD allowance, to leadership, we support clinicians who want to grow; not just fill a diary.
Sustainable work, real life balance
Flexible hours, part-time options, and family-friendly rostering are genuinely supported. We believe longevity in healthcare matters. Our 'health hour' policy an initiative launched in 2025 to ensure we are walking the walk.
Not sure if a clinic is actually doing it well?
Everyone has someone you turn to, someone you know is 'In Your Corner', who'll be real with you, tell you what's actually true, not just what sounds good in an interview.
That's what 'In Your Corner' is all about.
We built a free checklist -Â 'Are they In Your Corner' - covering the fifteen things that actually separate a supportive workplace from one that just says it is. Run it over your current clinic, one you're interviewing with, or ours - to see if it matches up.Â

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist – Clinical Lead Pathway
For experienced clinicians (3–5+ years)
This might be you if:
- You've been doing more than your job description for a while now, and nobody's really acknowledged it
- You genuinely enjoy evidence-based, person-centred care, especially for the clients who've been dismissed everywhere else
- The junior physios already come to you with questions, title or not
- You want a career that leaves room for the rest of your life: family, flexibility, community
- You believe patients in the regions deserve the same standard of care as those in the city
What you'll get from us:
- A Clinical Lead pathway with actual milestones, agreed in writing. Not a vague "one day" conversation
- Non-clinical hours set aside for mentoring and leadership, and protected properly
- A caseload you can sustain. We're not interested in wearing burnout as a badge of honour
- Flexibility we build the roster around, rather than something you have to apologise for
- A generous PD allowance
- If leadership isn't the end goal for you, there's a real long-term future here too
Ticking most of these boxes but not all of them? Get in touch anyway. In our experience, the people who hesitate are usually the ones we want to hear from.

Casual, sessional roles
This might be you if:
- People leave your classes feeling like they've actually connected, not just followed along
- You're curious about the rehab side of Pilates, or you already love it and want to do more of it
- You like the idea of working alongside physios and picking up clinical knowledge as you go
- You need casual work that genuinely fits around family and everything else, rather than pretending to
- You care about how every client feels walking out the door, whether they're six weeks post-op or training for performance
What you'll get from us:
- A warm, professional studio where you're treated as part of the team
- Ongoing education and real collaboration with our physios
- A schedule built around your availability, paid above award
- Huge variety in clients, from early rehab through to strength and performance work
- Room to grow when you want it: more classes, new client groups, in-house learning
Newer to reformer, or worried you're not "rehab-experienced" enough? Reach out anyway. We'd much rather teach the right person the clinical side than miss out on them entirely.
We're always open to the right people
